Glass for balustrades from

SARIS GLASS

Balustrade glass is a key element of our glass balustrades. Choosing the right glass is essential for both the appearance of the project and the strength and safety of the railing when in use.

We prefer to use two main types of glass in our railing systems - laminated and toughened laminated. The choice of these two types of glass is due to our ability to deliver on our promise to our customers of safety in the use of our products.

When using laminated and toughened laminated glass, in addition to safety, the durability of the railings is guaranteed through various conditions. Their resilient properties protect against unforeseen situations such as high winds or sudden impacts, providing peace of mind and reassurance for anyone using the space.

Also, choosing these types of glass in exterior conditions protects against the damaging effects of UV rays and moisture, ensuring the long-lasting beautiful appearance of the railings over time.

How do glasses differ in terms of strength?

Laminated glass:

When broken, laminated glass retains its integrity. This is thanks to the special film between the glass panels. Its high resistance to pressure and impact makes it the preferred choice. Laminated and toughened laminated glass represent the optimal choice for glass railings.

Tempered glass:

Tempered glass shatters into small fragments when broken, greatly reducing the likelihood of injury to those around it. Its resistance to pressure and impact is high. This type of glass is widely used in our everyday life and can be used for railings, depending on the nature of the project.

Standard glass:

When broken, standard glass shatters into large and sharp pieces that are a serious threat to the health of those around it. Its resistance to pressure and impact is very low. It is therefore not used. Instead, more durable alternatives such as laminated or toughened glass are preferred.

Variants of glass railings

At Saris Glass, we offer a variety of balustrades that are secure and compliant with safety standards.

The use of laminated or toughened glass for railings is a must for us. They guarantee the strength of the railing and preserve the integrity of the glass when broken. This is achieved through a special manufacturing process where glass panels are bonded together with foil. This structure ensures reliability and protects against the risk of injury.
